Behaviour Support Assistant needed at a School in Stretford

Do you have experience supporting children suffering from adverse childhood experiences and trauma?

Teaching Personnel are working with a Client Secondary School based in Stretford who are looking for an outgoing and driven Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This role would be a temporary placement until March 2024. Hours can be flexible; part-time or full-time.

A successful applicant has the potential stay with the school on a rolling contract if they are excelling in the school environment, from April 2024. This role offers the potential to earn up to £1850PCM (depending on experience and hours).

Key role responsibilities:

-          Working 1:1 with students who have suffered from adverse childhood experiences, trauma and anxiety.

-          Motivate and support students so that they can succeed and develop

-          Offering detailed feedback on this student’s progress and development to teachers, parents and higher members of the school authority.

The school are looking for a determined and patient Behaviour Specialist who is enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about working with children. It is essential that applicants are flexible and willing to help with a variety of subjects, specifically core subjects like Maths, English and Science. It would be really beneficial if applicants have previous experience supporting children suffering from anxiety and mental health issues.

The school is situated in the heart of Manchester, in the city centre, and is within walking distance to local public transport links, and also has a large and secure onsite car park for staff with a vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
