About the Opportunity: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you'll play an indispensable role in our team, extending crucial aid to students aged 11-16 who have transitioned from mainstream schools. Your duties will revolve around nurturing students who might grapple with behavioural challenges, attendance issues, self-harm tendencies, or require assistance with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) concerns. Key Duties:

  • Delivering individualised support to students, both academically and socially.
  • Implementing effective strategies to navigate challenging behaviours and foster growth.
  • Collaborating closely with educators and colleagues to cultivate a nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to propel their development.
  • Establishing meaningful connections with students to cultivate trust and confidence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • While prior experience working with youth facing behavioural or SEMH challenges is beneficial, it's not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of patience, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to championing vulnerable students.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant qualifications or a willingness to undergo training (e.g., Team Teach, SEN training) will be advantageous.
