Experienced Teaching Assistants Required – September Start
Location: Sherborne, Dorset

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to join a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Sherborne from September.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who require alternative provision due to:

  • Permanent exclusion or being at risk of permanent exclusion
  • Short-stay placements
  • Medical needs
  • SEND assessments and additional learning needs

The setting provides a nurturing, supportive environment where every student is given the opportunity to re-engage with education and achieve positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a PRU, SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision setting
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with young people who may have experienced barriers to learning
  • A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
