Behaviour Support Assistant

As a Behaviour Support Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with challenging behaviours, helping them engage more positively in their learning. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff, you will be providing one-on-one support for students, implementing strategies to manage behaviour, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with individual behaviour plans
• Work closely with teachers and staff to implement behaviour management strategies
• Provide tailored support to help students engage and achieve academically
• Monitor and track students’ progress and well-being
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a school or support role, particularly with students with special educational needs
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to working with children
• A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
