Salary: GBP285 - GBP300 per week

Start Date: Pending schools returning

Working Hours: Part time – 3 days a week 8:30 – 3:30

A wonderful primary school in the Denton area are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work as a Behaviour Buddy to support and aid pupils on a small group basis in order to increase pupil attainment. This is the perfect role for individuals with little or no experience working within a school setting, but have relevant experience supporting or working with children in a professional environment, and are interested in starting a career within education.

Experience with any form of SEN is also highly desirable. As a Behaviour Buddy, you will be working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis providing help and support to children who have behavioural difficulties.

As a Behaviour Buddy, you will be expected to:

• Encourage and aid development of pupils while consistently reporting feedback to leading members of staff.

• Motivate and engage the pupils

• Ensure that tasks are carried out professionally, but also in a fun and rewarding manner.

• Work alongside key school staff to reduce levels of unauthorised absence and improve levels of attendance and behaviour of the pupils; all of which could be possible through your dedication and commitment to the role

If you possess any of the following, then you are highly desirable for the role:

• A Degree (BA, Masters)

• Training (Team Teach)

• Armed Forces Experience

• Support Work Experience

• Prison Guard Officer Experience
