Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Salary:

£85 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

The Behaviour Support Assistant will work closely with students to provide behavioural support and intervention strategies. Duties include assisting in the implementation of behaviour plans, monitoring student behaviour, and providing feedback to teachers and support staff. The role also involves promoting positive behaviour and helping students develop social skills.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths is required. Relevant experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges is essential. A valid DBS check is mandatory.

Education:

A Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school setting or educational environment is desirable. Experience implementing behaviour support plans and strategies is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

Good understanding of behavioural management techniques and strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

An additional qualification in counselling or special educational needs would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working within a school setting, providing support to students with behavioural needs. The Behaviour Support Assistant may need to assist in managing challenging behaviours and work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
