Behaviour Support Assistant – Secondary School
Location: Caerphilly
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Salary: £89.38 per day

About the Role:
- Work Monday to Friday – enjoy your weekends off!
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis with emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs
- Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Use positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Assist the teacher and classroom team in day-to-day activities

Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people (volunteering, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
- Compassionate, resilient, and excellent communicator
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- SEND, SEMH, or youth work experience highly desirable
- Team Teach qualification advantageous
- Enhanced DBS check (or willing to apply) and EWC registration (support provided)
- Reliable transport to Caerphilly
- Two professional references required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
