Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel’s SEN Teaching Assistants work closely with pupils with learning difficulties such as Autism and complex learning needs.

SEN Teaching Assistants nurture and develop pupils to allow them to encourage independence and skills for life and allow them to achieve their full potential by working alongside key school staff.

Your role would involve undertaking structured, personalised learning programmes, both on a 1-2-1 basis and a small group basis, taking into consideration individual pastoral support to pupils.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will work with an innovative, topic based curriculum which suits a variety of learners needs. You will work closely with pupils in the classroom alongside 1 class teacher and other support staff. You would be working with secondary age pupils with a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties to support and encourage their learning.
