Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

A Roman Catholic Primary school in Whalley Range (M16) is looking to recruit a proactive Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children with challenging behaviour. This school prides itself on 'equality of opportunity' and requires a KS1 Teaching Assistant who would adhere to the warm ethos of the school. The school shows good levels of attendance and progression and needs an experienced TA to support in an energetic year 2 class.

This position will start immediately and will run up until the end of the academic year. The opportunity for extension may be possible for the right candidate

It is essential that applicants have experience supporting young people with difficult behaviour.

The school is looking for someone who,

  • Has experience working with pupils with challenging behaviours
  • Is able to work comfortably with children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Has experience working in a KS1 environment
  • Is passionate about making a difference by supporting children's learning
