Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

A larger than average primary school in Tameside is looking to recruit a proactive Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children who display challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will work closely with the schools SENCO to tailor IEP's to suit the individual needs of the children. The school shows good levels of attendance and progression and needs an experienced TA with a positive, hard working attitude to support across KS1!
This position will start in September with the role initial up until Christmas. The opportunity for extension may be possible for the right candidate
It is essential that applicants have experience supporting young people with difficult behaviour and Team Teach would be advantageous to any candidate applying for this role but not a necessity.
The school is looking for someone who,
- Has experience working with pupils with challenging behaviours
- Is able to work comfortably with children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Has experience working in a KS1 environment
- Is passionate about making a difference by supporting children's learning
- Can deliver small group phonics.
