Location: Southsea, Hampshire

A Secondary School that focuses on raising aspirations, strengthening pastoral care, and offering a broad curriculum supported by strong enrichment opportunities is seeking a dedicated and passionate RE Teacher / Cover Supervisor to join their team!
This opportunity is great for:
- Ideal for individuals who are keen to gain valuable classroom experience or are considering a future career in teaching (Cover Supervisor role)
- Well suited to Early Career Teachers wishing to gain further experience (ECT role)
- Great for experienced teachers seeking flexible working arrangements now, or in future (FQT role)
The Role
You will be teaching RE across KS3 and KS4 levels and will be instrumental in the school’s mission to provide every student a great education and real choices in life, regardless of their background. You will be a passionate practitioner, you will deliver high-quality, rigorous lessons that drive achievement and inspire a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.
Who We Are Looking For
- Strong subject knowledge of Religious Education essential
- Relevant qualifications, such as RE or related degree
- PGCE / QTS for those wanting a Fully Qualified Teacher role
- Experience working with Secondary aged students (11-16 years old)
- Can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Creates a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
- Is committed to raising achievement and supporting every learner
Working Hours & Benefits

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
