Behaviour Mentors Needed Across South Wales

The school caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) as well as other difficulties including ADHD and Autism. This specialist provisions is looking for enthusiastic team players who enjoy a challenge. Having experience in supporting children who display challenging behaviour or have a variety of SEN is not essential but beneficial to fully flourish within this role. When speaking with the Deputy Head he has stated how important it is that the right personality within this provision.

You will be responsible for assisting the class teacher and providing one-to-one / group support to students of primary or secondary level (dependent on experience and age group preference). The ideal applicant will have prior experience working in the classroom and have the ability to support children and teenagers with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues

Our ultimate goal is to find you long term, full time work within specialist provisions. Team Teach training is advantageous for this role. However, we are running a Team Teach course in not too distant future. If you are flexible and looking for supply work across South Wales, more specifically Cardiff within a PRU setting

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
