Do you have a passion for working with young people? Are you interested in working in an environment where you can enrich the lives of young people who are working through difficult times?

A number of local schools are looking for teachiing assistants to support children withe SEND (special educational needs) and SEMH (social, emoitonal mental health) needs. 

SEMH is usually the underlying cause of actions in children and young people. Children and young people who have SEMH difficulties may find themselves struggling academically, socially and emotionally.

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for resilient, adaptable, and confident individuals to work in local primary schools to support pupils in the social and academic processes of the school and enable them to become independent learners. You would be working closely under the direction of the SENCO/ Inclusion Team to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching of pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.

It is essential that the applicant:

  • Has the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Has a flexible and adaptable approach to both work and to the behaviours of students.
  • Has a good understanding of the way children learn and previous knowledge of SEMH.
  • Has good organisational skills and the ability to think-quickly
  • Has a confident, positive, and resilient mindset

About the Job:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:30- 3:30
