Job description

We are currently working very closely with the SENCO at a large academy in Keynsham, that is looking for teaching assistants to support pupils with a range of special needs; however, most are boys with challenging behaviour. Because of this you MUST be confident with dealing with disruptive behaviour.

The school is growing rapidly as it has introduced a Primary SEN site and an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) specialist centre. Because of this, the school is looking for behaviour mentors to support pupils throughout the school.

The role is a full-time role to start immediately and would be likely for the academic year.

You need to have either school based experience or SEN experience with adults or children. Again, you must be confident and competent with behaviour management and most of all be committed! Relationships will be built so continuity is essential.
