Job Opportunity: Behavioural Mentor
Sector: Primary Education

Start Date: April 2024
Salary: £12.82 per hour
About the Role:
Join the Teaching Personnel team as a Behavioural Mentor and make a real difference in the lives of students in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. We have rewarding full-time and part-time positions available in our network of Primary Schools. As a Behavioural Mentor, you'll work closely with students who have learning and behavioural challenges, providing one-on-one and small group support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and encourage students to participate in classroom activities and special resource bases.
- Serve as a positive role model, assisting students in managing their behaviour and emotions effectively.
- Guide students in understanding and resolving their frustrations for positive outcomes.
- Foster a supportive environment where students feel cared for, listened to, and confident in seeking help.
Who We're Looking For:
- Confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Empathetic and understanding of students' issues.
- Enthusiastic, engaging, and able to build quick rapport with students.
Requirements:
- Provide 2 professional references.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply – full assistance provided).
- EWC registration (assistance provided).
No Experience? No Problem!
Don't worry if you have limited experience working with learning and behavioural difficulties. The school we collaborate with is committed to offering support and guidance. All you need is a passion for teaching in a specialist setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
