Behaviour Mentor - Blackpool
Here at Teaching Personnel I am looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor(s) on behalf of my partner mainstream Secondary school based in Blackpool, Fylde.
This role is to start in September 2020 on a full-time basis with a view to go permanent after a certain number of weeks. Secondary schools across the UK see a peak in challenging behaviour in September, this is because most pupils are out of their daily routine from the summer holidays, and the pupils that transition from Year 6 to Year 7 sometimes struggle with the biggest change they have experienced yet.
Your main priority for this role will be to build and maintain strong relationships with students that are struggling to stay in class or School, often those pupils will be disengaged from education.
You will also be partnered up with specific new Year 7 pupils who are struggling to settle in to their new school, so you must be approachable and patient, as it is vital that you build up a one to one rapport with your pupils.
With such a break in the normal routine due to school closures, there may be challenging behaviour that needs support with alongside social and emotional mental health issues.
This is the ideal role for someone who is wanting to make a difference to young people’s lives on a pastoral level and help build young adults of the future.
If you are wanting to become a role model and change pupils lives for the better this would be ideal for you.
What I am looking for:
• Experience working with young pupils in our out of and educational setting
• The ability to be patient and determined
• A can-do attitude
• The ability to take instructions
• A role model throughout school
If you are wanting to start your education career or wanting to give back to the education system, I want to hear from you.
Apply today or call for more information.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
