Are you wishing to pursue a career working with young people who display challenging behaviour? Do you have previous experience working with children and young people in educational or Youth Group settings?

A primary school in the Radcliffe (M26) area are currently looking for a behaviour support mentor to work with pupils across their Key Stage 2 classes. Due to a number of pupils in Key Stage 2 with social emotional mental health needs, the Head teacher is looking for a behaviour mentor to work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with a number of pupils to support their emotional and academic needs.

The role of Behaviour Mentor will incorporate delivering short intervention strategies in meetings to improve behaviour whilst implementing the school behaviour policy and monitoring progress. You will work directly with the schools SEN Co-ordinator and Inclusion Manager, alongside class teachers to ensure all pupils are able to access learning and display positive behaviour. The school also has a specialist 'Nurture Unit' to support pupils going into crisis.
