Are you passionate about creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive? We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Behaviour Manager to join our dedicated team at a thriving secondary school. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in promoting high standards of behaviour and ensuring all students benefit from a respectful, inclusive, and supportive educational setting.


The Role

As Behaviour Manager, you will lead on developing and implementing strategies to encourage positive behaviour across the school. Working in close partnership with teaching staff, senior leaders, and families, you will support students in making good choices, overcoming challenges, and staying engaged in their learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering effective behaviour management strategies

  • Responding promptly to incidents and supporting students in real time

  • Collaborating with Heads of Year and safeguarding teams

  • Keeping accurate records and analysing behaviour data to inform practice

  • Building strong, positive relationships with students to support their social and emotional development


What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a proactive and compassionate professional who brings a firm but fair approach to student support. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a behaviour or pastoral role, preferably in a secondary school setting

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations

  • High levels of resilience, empathy, and emotional intelligence

  • Confidence in setting boundaries while supporting students' growth and wellbeing

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
