Behaviour & Inclusion Support Workers needed in Primary Schools

Job description

We are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to work in a junior school based in the Daventry. The school has a group of pupils that are struggling with their behaviour and engagement and have been taken out of classroom learning. You will working in small groups as well as 1:1 to improve pupils behaviour, raise attainment, decrease levels of unauthorised absence and prepare the pupils to return to full time class room learning.

You will ideally hold a Team Teach certification however we can offer this training. The work can be especially rewarding; however, it can also be challenging too, so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in this setting. Some of the pupils have complex communication needs, severe learning difficulties or are autistic and some occasionally challenge and engage in off task behaviours. Many successful candidates have come from a sporting or a coaching background, have studied Psychology or have worked in a care environment or Social Work.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
