Job description

Job Title: Behaviour & Inclusion Support Worker – Halifax
Salary: £90–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025 

We are working with schools across Halifax in strong need of outstanding support staff to help their students with behavioural needs feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

Whether you have worked in PRUs, SEND settings, or mainstream schools, if you have patience, empathy, and a good sense of humour — you might be just who they are after.

Your day-to-day:

  • Supporting students with Social Emotional Mental Health needs and associated learning needs

  • Helping pupils self-regulate and re-engage with learning

  • Collaborating with teachers and inclusion leads

  • Providing consistent, structured support 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in schools, youth work, care, or inclusion support

  • Calm, confident, and unflappable — even on the tricky days

  • Resilient and able to handle emotionally demanding situations

  • Bonus points if you have done Thrive training or Team Teach L2

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
