Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with a Alternative provision school in Thrapston. The school cater for KS3-KS4 students with SEMH needs

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a culture of positive behaviour and support staff with student engagement
  • Individual mentoring of students regarding behaviour and leading the staff team to have clear structured intervention plans
  • Visible presence in class and around the site to assist staff with behaviour and to create a positive learning environment
  • Take the lead on positive points and rewards system
  • Lead the schools community outreach program through engagement projects, work experience opportunities and character development

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Experience of leading in pastoral areas within education
  • Experience of leading behavioural expectations of student provisions 

PREFERRED SKILLS 

  • Experience working with children and young people in an educational setting 
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding, GDPR)
  • Familiarity with zones of regulation or similar interventions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team 
  • Use of assistive technology/adaptive equipment 
  • Child centred and inclusive approach 
  • Creative and adaptable in problem-solving

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
