Behaviour and Autism Teaching Assistant

Ideal for experienced and qualified Teaching Assistants, Care Workers, Support Workers, Sports Coaches, Ex-Military, Ex Police Officers, Youth Workers, Social Workers, Qualified or Experienced Counsellors and Ex Prison Officers.

The vacancies available are temporary to permanent contracts, which means you WILL be offered a permanent position at the school following an introductory period with Teaching Personnel.

A specialist education provider local to Attleborough, Thetford and surrounding villages strives to provide the highest quality of education for pupils on the Autistic Spectrum.  In partnership with Teaching Personnel, they are looking to appoint for multiple Teaching Assistant positions across the school. You could be working in a class with up to 10 children at one time OR supporting a pupil one-to-one.

It is important that you understand what you will be doing on a day-to day basis:

• ENCOURAGING students to do their best

• ENGAGING students in class learning through creativity and relationship building

• PROMOTING pupil wellbeing and safeguarding

• ASSISTING teachers and other staff alike with behaviour management, preparing lessons and activities

A typical day starts at 8.30am and finishes at 3.30pm. You may also be expected to attend inset and training days at the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
