Become a Cover Supervisor through Teaching Personnel!
Are you a graduate wanting to gain experience before enrolling onto a teaching training course?
Would you like to gain invaluable experience working in the education sector by covering lessons in Secondary Schools across Nottingham/Derby?
Unqualified Teacher or Cover Supervisor required to cover pre set KS3 and GCSE lessons when planned and unplanned absences arise within the school, ensuring all safeguarding and behaviour policies are followed.
- Full or part time hours available, allowing you to work on a flexible basis around your current schedule, dependent on days that the school needs additional cover in the form of a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher
- Paid a competitive wage, dependent on your experience as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher, as well as your responsibilities in the role (up to GBP70 for day to day work, with long term rates being negotiable dependent on responsibilities)
- Opportunity to work in a number of well established schools in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area, including Ofsted 'Good' and 'Outstanding' providers, with the opportunity of a permanent contract as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher in the near future
- Further training and development available through Teaching Personnel's market leading CPD academy which is delivered though our partner award winning training schools in the local area
Working as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher is a very rewarding yet sometimes challenging role where you will be required to cover pre set lesson plans that have been left by the regular class teacher. You must be able to act on your feet and have excellent communication skills so that you can deliver work effectively to the pupils, whilst assisting pupils with any queries or issues they may have, whether these are learning, behaviour, SEN or SEMH related.
Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher would be a bonus, however no previous experience is still necessarily as long as you have a passion for education and working with young people and are confident in your ability to control a classroom and ensure all safeguarding and behaviour policies are followed.
This would be an excellent opportunity for any recent graduates who are seeking experience in a secondary school setting and would like to gain classroom based skills as a Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher before enrolling on their PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme. We would also like to hear from you if you have similar transferable experience in which you have supported young people, such as those who have worked as a Teaching Assistant or who have run Youth Clubs/ worked in Youth Work.
If you would like to be considered for this Cover Supervisor role, please email your CV to Ryan via the link below or contact the East Midlands Secondary Branch on 0115 845 6408
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
