Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with an SEN provision school based in Worthing, who are seeking new support staff.
We are therefore seeking an experienced support staff member to support children with Special Educational Needs. This role could involve working across Key Stages, but will be mainly based in KS3. Extra funding is being used within schools to add extra support
You will work with SEN students identified with ASC (autistic spectrum condition), children with mental health issues and children needing speech and language support, on both a 1:1 basis and with small groups and will contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting classroom teachers in teaching and learning. As some children may express challenging behaviour, we are looking for someone who can follow behaviour policies and additional training such as Team Teach may be beneficial for the role.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would be;
- experienced supporting children with ASC/Speech and Language
- have a good knowledge of behaviour management techniques
- be patient and sensitive
- be able to motivate children who are disengaged from their learning
- experienced supporting children across the Key Stages
Teaching Personnel can offer you;
- a dedicated, specialist consultant working for you
- full time or part time work
- work with schools who work exclusively with Teaching Personnel
- access to our CPD Academy to develop your skills further
- support at interview stage with our experienced staff and interview guides
