Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the heart of Croxteth, Liverpool is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This full-time role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be working 1:1 with a pupil with Autism, providing personalised support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally. The school prides itself on nurturing a supportive and respectful learning environment, with a strong commitment to inclusive education and pupil development.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience supporting children with Autism (ASC) in a school or similar setting
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and the ability to adapt learning materials to individual needs
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach
- Experience with EHCPs and implementing targeted support plans
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
- A relevant TA qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
