The Governors of a school in the Fishponds area of Bristol are seeking a Part Time Autism Specialist for a position in a highly regarded school. This position is in a forward thinking, dynamic school which boasts a community feel and a strong ethos focused on child development.
You will work as part of a well respected, motivated and close-knit team who are incredibly passionate about ensuring each student receives the care and support they need. As part of this school you will receive ongoing training and development. The role you will be doing will positively impact the students you support. There are also permanent job opportunities available for those that perform to a consistently high standard during the role.
To be successful for this role you must have…
- Experience with using visual aids (e.g. Makaton, PECS) would be desired.
- Previous experience working with Autism.
- Experience working in a Primary or Secondary setting
- Enthusiasm, dedication and motivation.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new learning environments
