Autism specialist - ASC Teaching Assistant required for "Good" Primary School in Leicester
- Experience of working with Autism (ASC), ideally with young children.
- Ability to work closely with Autistic children, traits of Autism and mechanisms to engage and include children in the education environment
- Ability to deescalate Challenging behaviours but great support with the SENCO and Inclusion Team.
A "good" primary school in Leicester are looking to recruit a 1:1 ASC teaching assistant to work with a pupil with Autism from Sept 2019.
This role requires someone who has experience of working with children or young people with Autism. This Leicester school has a friendly environment and a hard-working ethic. This is a great opportunity and one which could lead to a school's permanent contract.
The ideal candidate is somebody who:
- Has strong behaviour management skills
- Can be flexible and innovative in their approach to teaching, whilst also following school policies
- Has high expectations of pupils and is committed to helping them improve
- passionate about making a real difference!
