Teaching Assistants required for SEN school in Hatfield

  • Purpose building opened in September 2013
  • Early Years through to Key Stage 2
  • Dedicated soft play room, sensory room, sensory circuit room and food technology room.

I am working with a special needs school in Hatfield, Hertfordshire that require an increasing number of Teaching Assistants to join their staff team.

The school caters for children aged 4-11years with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties, and the attractive modern building provides a calm and safe environment for our pupils. The Early Years department has three interconnecting teaching areas, and a separate teaching room for small group work. All of the classrooms have direct access to outdoor covered learning and play areas.

The six KS1 and 2 classrooms share a library area, two large multi-purpose teaching areas and a number of small group teaching spaces. The classrooms have access to covered outdoor learning and play spaces and a large playground.

The schools location close to the center of Hatfield enables them to provide pupils with frequent opportunities for ‘real life learning’ through visits to local amenities e.g. shops, parks, the post office etc., whilst also being set amongst a number of other schools, both primary and secondary.

If you feel that you have the right experience, or would be willing to learn more about supporting children in this type of setting, please send a CV and covering letter to chloe-leigh.maher@teachingpersonnel.com.

Please note that all candidates will be required to provide a DBS or be willing to undergo a full and enhanced DBS check, as well as providing two references.
