Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to provide assistance to young pupils in Hertfordshire.
If you have experience working with children or adults on the Autistic Spectrum and feel confident and comfortable in your ability to provide assistance and constant reinforcement to a pupil with limited focus then I would love to hear from you.
You will need to have some form of experience in dealing with people who have any of the following...
· Difficulties with nonverbal reasoning and problem solving
· Difficulties with understanding and use of language
· Difficulties with social interaction and communication
· Low self-awareness and understanding of emotions and those of others
· Low self-esteem, engagement in obsessive behaviours and vulnerable to anxiety
· Limited reading comprehension skills
· Limited working memory and short term memory
Your day will consist of providing support and reinforcement to the pupil that you're assisting, escorting them to and from lessons, and helping them to understand the work that has been set out by staff. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in then please get in touch.
