Art Teacher

Our Client School in North Tyneside are looking for an Art Teacher to join the team on a temporary basis, covering a maternity. The role will involve the delivery of high quality sessions, across the age ranges 11-16. It is essential that as this is a specialist role, that:

• You hold QTS in Secondary Schools/Further Education 
• You have experienced teaching Art up to GCSE
• You have the ability to builds positive relationships with both pupils and staff, with strong behaviour management
• Position 3 full days, two mornings (0.8) 

Furthermore:

• It is crucial you are able to effectively deliver the school’s curriculum, whilst being able to independently implement your own strategies and methods to allow students to thrive within the subject
• It is vital that you're able to consistently manage behaviour expectations, as well as working in line with recommendations made by Ofsted and the school's policy
• You will be able to work well within a team environment, and will be motivated and enthusiastic within your approach
• You must be able to display resilience and patience within this role is crucial – naturally, not all students will be as engaged as some. It is also of high importance that you're able to effectively differentiate learning for those with SEN

The role will commence towards the back end of November and will last until around May-time. It is also important to note that that there may be opportunity for this position to extend even further or be made permanent. The school has a number of main road links close by, as well as numerous public transport links.

PAY - opportunity to earn between GBP525-850 per week. After 12 weeks there will be full compliance with AWR (Agency Workers’ Regulations) and you will receive the pay and working conditions you are entitled to.
