Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted-rated "Good" mixed secondary school in the seaside town of Southsea, Portsmouth. With over 1000 pupils on roll, this is a large school set in large grounds with a diverse and road catchment. It makes for an exciting community of pupils and staff, learning and growing together.

The school has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Secondary and Post-16 Art Teacher to join their experienced Teaching Team, supporting children from all backgrounds and areas of the world. The role will involve teaching Art and Graphics with elements of Photography - all to GCSE level.

Newly Qualified Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) will also be considered for the role, and support will be provided. The school has an excellent NQT programme, utilising the Academy Trust giving you the best start to your education career.

  • Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning
  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills
  • The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers
  • The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment
