Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Art Teacher with a strong background in working with children with SEN. The ideal candidate will have expertise in addressing the diverse needs of students with autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour, while also possessing a deep understanding of the secondary art curriculum.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality art lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and personal growth.
• Utilise innovative teaching methods and adaptive strategies to engage students with diverse learning styles and abilities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience teaching art to secondary students with SEN, particularly those with autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
• In-depth knowledge of the secondary art curriculum and proficiency in adapting curriculum materials to meet the needs of students with SEN.
• Strong understanding of various SEN strategies, interventions, and accommodations, with a focus on promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
