Stockport secondary school are looking to appoint an Art and Design teacher for September. This is a full time Art and Design teaching post with the timetable consisting of KS3/KS4 delivery. Large in size with over 1100 students on roll, the school achieves well academically above national averages and has provisions in place to ensure students achieve their expected levels of progress.

Art and Design teachers looking to work in this school will need to have experience delivering the AQA curriculum. The school has a low level of students who use English as an additional language and above average number of students eligible for free school meals at 34%. If successful you will be delivering Art and Textiles within the department and will be expected to plan and mark your own work whilst attending departmental meetings.

This is a full time position initially on an introductory basis through Teaching Personnel, with the option to earn a school based contract after this period. Interviews will be taking place in July so you will need to attend to be successful with a lesson observation involved in the process.

Situated in Stockport there are easily accessible routes for those on public transport via bus and tram or via the M60 motorway for those who drive.
