Arabic Tutor

Nottingham

Teaching Personnel are looking for a tutor to support a Year 13 unaccompanied asylum seeker who requires a tutor to help him develop his English language skills. We ideally require a tutor who can speak some Arabic, helping to develop the young person's confidence and language skills as he has recently moved to the UK. This tuition is based in supported accommodation in Nottingham city (NG7).

There is no work provided so you will be responsible for planning your own resources.

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience delivering ESOL to pupils with little or no English Language
  • Fluent or confident in Arabic language (speaking especially)
  • CELTA qualification or similar
  • Experienced working with Looked After Children/ Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers
  • Nurturing and patient approach
  • Able to work face to face
  • Able to plan and deliver cross-curricular engaging lessons specifically in ESOL and Cultural Awareness
  • Committed to this extremely vulnerable young person for as long as is required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
