Core Subjects Tutor – Nottinghamshire
Teaching Personnel | £25–£30 per hour
Teaching Personnel is seeking skilled and passionate Core Subjects Tutors to deliver high-quality tuition in English, Maths, and Science to learners across Nottinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in reaching their academic potential in a flexible and rewarding teaching environment.
We are looking for qualified tutors, teachers, or experienced support staff who can provide personalised support in one or more core subjects at KS3, GCSE, or Functional Skills level.
Key Details:

Location: Nottinghamshire (multiple locations and remote options)

Subjects: English, Maths, and/or Science

Pay Rate: £25–£30 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Flexible – part-time and full-time opportunities available

Start Date: Immediate or negotiable
Role Responsibilities:
-
Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to individual student needs
-
Support students in developing subject knowledge, confidence, and study skills

Provide regular feedback on student progress
-
Adapt teaching methods for different learning styles and abilities
Requirements:
-
Experience teaching or tutoring one or more core subjects (English, Maths, or Science)

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, Cert Ed) is preferred
-
Strong planning, communication, and classroom management skills
-
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
