Alternative Provision Teacher (KS3–KS4) – Luton
Location: Luton
Pay Rate: £150 – £180+ per day (Dependent on experience)
Start Date: April (After the Easter Break)
Are you ready to change the narrative for young people in Luton? We are looking for a resilient, passionate, and dedicated Alternative Provision Teacher to join our team. This is more than just a teaching job; it is an opportunity to re-engage students who have faced barriers to education and help them find their path to success. Based in Luton, you will work with KS3 and KS4 students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing the consistency and inspiration they need to thrive.
The Impact You’ll Make:
- Tailored Learning: Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that meet students where they are.
- Relationship Building: Become a trusted mentor, building the rapport necessary for academic and emotional growth.
- Collaborative Success: Work alongside an expert pastoral team, SENCOs, and families to meet EHCP targets.
- Empowerment: Help students with gaps in their education rebuild their confidence and prepare for life beyond the classroom.
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualified Educators: Holds QTS (or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification).
- SEMH/SEND Experts: Proven experience in Alternative Provision or Special Educational Needs settings.
- Secondary Specialists: Strong subject knowledge and experience with the KS3/KS4 curriculum.
- Resilient Role Models: A nurturing approach combined with strong, calm behavior management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
