Job description

*Passionate about supporting young learners? Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to start your journey in a Primary School setting, this could be the perfect opportunity to take your next step! We want to hear from you!*

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a thriving and inclusive Primary School near Newbridge (Caerphilly Country Borough Council) as they look to welcome their next wave of exceptional Teaching Assistants!

This school is a happy, caring school where all pupils are treated with respect and kindness. The headteacher and staff work with dedication to create a warm and valued environment for pupils and the wider school community. Staff promote positive behaviour effectively, and most pupils engage actively in lessons. The school provides strong support for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN) particularly those in its resource base classes. As a result, although most pupils start school with skills at or below the expected level, many make suitable progress and are developing as confident learners, who enjoy being part of their school.

This fantastic school has multiple opportunities available — from roles in Nursery, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, to 1:1 support positions working with pupils who have additional learning needs. Whatever your experience or strengths, the school will consider your skills, preferences, and personality to find the perfect fit for you.

Rated OUTSTANDING by Estyn, this is a school where staff feel valued, pupils are polite and eager to learn, and the leadership team is second to none. Supportive, welcoming, and forward-thinking — what more could you ask for in your next role?

What they need:

The school is looking for enthusiastic and committed educators who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. They value Teaching Assistants who are proactive, hands-on, and eager to engage fully in classroom life and school activities. As 34% of this schools pupils have been statemented with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), experience in working with ALN would be hugely favoured.

A positive attitude, an open-minded approach, and the ability to create a fun and engaging environment are key qualities this school look for. As a large and collaborative setting, they particularly value team players with strong communication skills, ensuring effective coordination across classes and departments to deliver the very best learning experience for every child.
