Location: Cwmbran, South Wales
Pay Rate: £14.25 an hour
Hours: Mon-Fri / School hours
Contract: Full Academic Year

⭐About the Role

Teaching Personnel is recruiting an ALN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming secondary school in Newport/Cwmbran.

In this role, you'll provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and behavioural challenges. You'll build positive relationships, help students stay engaged in learning, and provide the encouragement and support they need to thrive both academically and emotionally.

✅Requirements

To be considered for this role, you'll need experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals in some capacity. This could include:

• Education or classroom support
• Coaching or sports leadership
• Youth work
• Care or support work
• Mentoring or tutoring
• Camp or activity leadership
• Residential care
• Any other transferable experience that demonstrates your ability to support and engage young people

Compliance

-          Enhanced DBS on the update service

-          Education Workforce Regulation registration (EWC)

-          Level 2 Safeguarding course (completed as part of your onboarding)

-          2 professional based references which cover a 24-month period (or equivalent)
