SEN Learning Support Assistant required to work with a Year 5 Pupil with ADHD

We are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of popular and successful school in Leamington Spa, to work with a child in Year 5 who has Autism and ADHD, who may also have traits of Pathological Demand Avoidance.

The role:

The boy is very bright and has a nice sense of humour, however he gets anxious and struggles with the demands of day to day school life. The school is looking for someone who is able to set firm boundaries, is adaptable to his sometimes erratic behaviour and able to build a good rapport with him so that they can help support him at school. You will be required to work with the child on a one to one basis, as well as helping other children within the class.

The School:

This is a 2 form entry OFSTED ‘GOOD’ school in the CV32 area of Leamington Spa

Career progression:

Although this role will be starting as a temporary role, there is the strong possibility that for the right person, you will be offered a permanent role.

You:

Please only apply if you meet the following requirements:

- Must have SEN experience (preferably ADHD)

- Must have a Teaching Assistant or Degree Qualification

- Must have at least 6 months of experience in a UK School
