Learning Support Assistant

Location: Cardiff (CF3)

Pay: £1,326 per month

Start date / end date: 4th January 2022 – on-going, temporary

Do you have experience supporting primary-aged children with Cerebral Palsy in an educational setting? Are you an adaptable and positive person? If so, this opportunity could be for you!

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time basis to support a year 3 pupil with cerebral palsy. The school have a support plan in place for the pupil that will be shared with the successful candidate in detail, on appointment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience as a primary teaching assistant
  • Experience supporting children with cerebral palsy
  • A bubbly, adaptable and caring attitude – with a willingness to learn
  • Experience providing personal care and/or, a background in care work
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to build a great rapport with pupils, parents and staff

Essential Criteria:

  • Can provide two professional references
  • A child-only DBS on the update service and EWC registered (Teaching Personnel can assist with applications)
  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
