Academic Mentor

Join an excellent secondary school in Manchester seeking to appoint an Academic Mentor on a full-time basis from September 2021. We welcome applications from graduates of English, Maths and Science and any applicants with experience mentoring secondary aged students.

Responsibilities of the role will involve:

• To work with students in identified lessons to help them improve their knowledge, skills and confidence.
• To deliver learning activities and intervention outside of the classroom.
• To work with small groups of students outside of lesson times. (break, lunch and after school)
• To produce learning resources that students can access in school and from home.
• To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students and to report any safeguarding or child protection concerns through the school’s reporting procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
