2 x TA required for Falmouth based primary school (ASD support)

Job description

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a range of complex neurodevelopment disorders, characterised by social impairments, communication difficulties, and restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped patterns of behaviour.

Teaching Personnel are working with a large school in the Falmouth area who require two teaching assistants to support Autism on a full-time basis. These roles will be temporary just for the Summer term initially.

We are seeking applications from strong teaching assistants with plenty of experience, who can support children on a 1:1 basis. We require candidates with good knowledge of supporting special educational needs and ideally experience with Autistic spectrum disorder. These roles must be filled with candidates who are extremely nurturing, patient and hardworking.

Other desirable training/qualifications include: Team Teach, Manual Handling, Makaton, Autism Awareness.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
