Hours: Full-Time (Monday – Friday)

About the Role: Teaching Personnel is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 boy in Lytham St Annes. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on a child's educational journey and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 4 boy with SEMH needs.
- ️ Assist in developing and implementing strategies to manage emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to help the student thrive academically and socially.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective support.
- Monitor and report on the student's progress and well-being.
- Encourage positive social interactions and help build the student's confidence.
Requirements:
- ✅ Experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of SEMH and the challenges faced by students.
- ️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with the student and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
