Job description

SEN Tutor Role – Sherborne

Support Individual Learning. Shape Brighter Futures.

TP Tutors is seeking dedicated SEN Tutors in Sherborne to deliver one-to-one, personalised tuition for students who benefit from a more flexible and supportive approach.

Role: SEN Tutor
Location: Sherborne & surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible – part-time and full-time opportunities available

The Role
You’ll provide tailored academic support while helping students build confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning.

  • Plan and deliver personalised tuition sessions
  • Support learners with additional needs including autism, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Foster engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles
  • Deliver sessions in home or community-based environments

About You

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Ability to travel within Sherborne and nearby areas
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
