Teaching Personnel work exclusively with a Leyland based School who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a KS3 pupil. The pupil is male and has additional learning needs including; Dyslexia and SEMH Difficulties. The pupil does tend to display fairly challenging behaviours and can often be verbally abusive towards staff members and other pupils in School. The pupils has Anxiety and although, does need a candidate to have strong behaviour management skills, they also need to empathetic and nurturing towards the needs of the pupil.
The School is smaller than average and class sizes are generally under 7 pupils per class and you must be willing to assist the teacher with general behaviour in the class as well as supporting your own 1:1 pupil.
The School are seeking a candidate who comes from an education background and has experience working with pupils in KS3/4, ideally within an SEN or Behavioural provision, but this is not essential.
The candidate must be willing to work full time (School hours are 8.35am - 3.30pm) and be confident, hard working, resilient and empathetic.
The successful candidate will benefit from:
- Negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 67 per day
- Long term position available
- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
