Looking for a career supporting Secondary School Students on a 1:1 basis? 

Do you hold a specific SEMH qualification?

Are you a caring and supportive educator, looking for a new and rewarding role?

 

Look no further, Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for two 1:1 support assistants to support children aged 11-18 in UK based Secondary Schools!

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a 2:1 degree in any subject, and have a minimum of 1 year experience supporting children with specific needs, on a 1:1 or small group basis.

The hours of work will be Monday - Friday, and you must be availble between the hours of 08:00 16:00!

 

Job roles and responsibilities: 

  • Work with the named pupil on a 1:1 basis to reinforce learning objectives set by the teacher.

  • Adapt and differentiate learning materials to meet the pupil’s individual needs.

  • Provide additional explanation, prompts, or visual supports to aid understanding.

  • Support literacy, numeracy, and other subject areas as directed.

  • Encourage independent learning and problem-solving where possible

  • Use positive reinforcement and behaviour management strategies.

  • Encourage confidence, self-esteem, and resilience.

  • Support the development of social skills and peer relationships.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
