1:1 Support Assistant, East Lancashire

Teaching Personnel are hoping to recruit a hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and resilient 1:1 Support Assistant to work in a forward thinking SEMH provision in the East Lancashire area. The School is smaller than average and currently has approximately 55 pupil on roll, all male, aged between 11 - 17 years of age. The School provides support for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder and challenging behaviours. Many of these pupils are no longer able to remain in mainstream education for a number of reasons and can often be quite disengaged from education. 

The School is based within East Lancashire, near the Rawtenstall area and candidates will ideally hold a valid UK Driving lisence as you may be expected to work between 2 sites. The School are looking to appoint a full time, 1:1 Support Assistant to provide education and support for a pupil who is particularly difficult in his behaviour. The School are looking for a strong candidate with a passion for enriching the lives of pupils who are often more difficut to reach. 

The candidate must be willing to; de-escalate challenging behaviours, provide a constant 1:1 support (including lunch time duties), work within a small team of enthusiastic staff and complete (if not already) your Team Teach training.

- Negoitable pay rates GBP9.50 - 11 per hour
