1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Oldham

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an outstanding 1:2 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an average sized Roman Catholic Primary school, based in Oldham. Teaching Personnel is working alongside this school to appoint an excellent SEN Teaching Assistant on a full time, long term basis. The position is to start ASAP and will go on until the end of the academic year.

Pupils at this school make good progress and love to learn. They are really well behaved and are very friendly. The teachers have high expectations of the pupils and make great lessons plans to cater to their pupils' individual needs. There is high staff morale within the school; they are committed and ambitious. The teachers look after their children really well in this school and the teacher/student relationship is a real strength. The EYFS department is very supportive and inclusive, and children make good progress.

The Oldham primary school has a good reputation. It is constantly working to raise attainment levels across both key stages. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be working with a child in year 5 who has autism, portrays challenging behavior and has emotional needs. They will be helping him with his daily routines and will work on a 1:1 basis with him. The teaching assistant MUST have experience working with SEN students or vulnerable students.

The school has a very supportive system for all staff members and teaching assistants are encouraged to flourish in their career.
