Position: 1:1 SEN Support 
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Salary: Competitive - based on experience

Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? If so, we invite you to join our team as a SEN Support Worker.

Role Overview: As a SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support and assistance to students with a range of special educational needs. You will work closely with our teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to create and implement individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Adapt learning materials and teaching techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required by individual students.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience as an SEN Support Worker or similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of various special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and sensory impairments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome challenges and succeed.
