1:1 Engagement Tutor

Location: Worksop (S80 and S81)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions to students, ensuring that each session is tailored to the student’s unique needs and learning goals.

• Develop individualised learning plans and strategies to help students engage with and progress in their studies.

• Offer emotional and academic support, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Monitor and track the student’s progress, providing regular feedback.

• Use a variety of resources and interactive activities, to keep students engaged.

• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the student’s learning style, abilities, and interests.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• A strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.

• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and their families.

• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

• A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
